At the start of the week, Michael Flynn, who once served as National Security Adviser at the advent of President Trump’s term in office, called for a Myanmar-like coup in the United States in order to reinstall Trump into power.

“I want to know why what happened in Minamar [sic] can’t happen here?” a member of the audience, who identified himself as a Marine, asked Flynn. “No reason, I mean, it should happen here. No reason. That’s right,” Flynn responded.

Speaking at the same event earlier in the weekend, Flynn also claimed: “Trump won. He won the popular vote, and he won the Electoral College vote.”

For those out of the loop, Flynn is reportedly viewed as a hero in the QAnon movement. Last year, Flynn posted a video featuring QAnon slogans, and more recently, Flynn attempted to distinguish between the QAnon movement, which includes theories such as the world is controlled by a cabal of child sex traffickers. “What I tell people to do is look at the people that are involved,” Flynn claimed. “Look at the values that they espouse and let’s move along.”
