Sex Workers Deserve Better Than OnlyFans
The content subscription service is turning its back on those who transformed the company into an online juggernaut
UPDATE: Earlier today (August 25), OnlyFans announced a plan to suspend a policy change that would ban sexually explicit content beginning in October. This follows harsh backlash from sex workers who serve as content creators on the platform, as well as their supporters.
If not for only OnlyFans, my dick might’ve turned to dust during the first year of the plague.
As we learned throughout 2020 via social networks like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, the threat of inhaling death in the open air was treated differently by some Americans. Many took the stance “What plague?!” and proceeded to “live their lives” while the rest of us stayed inside. For many of us, that meant being alone. For a good while, it seemed all we had was pornography.
It’s hard to articulate the gratitude I have for many of the adult entertainers out there — and I’m sure many others feel the same way. I’m usually not even a big consumer of porn, but as I’ve mentioned, life will send you in unexpected directions.
